Today, we’re going to tell you the origin story of The Erne.

We are a brand new newsletter and we give you the best Pickleball content without taking ourselves too seriously.

After looking (unsuccessfully) for a newsletter that gave us Pickleball updates in an entertaining way, we decided to create it!

We called it, “The Erne”, named after one of the cheekiest shots in Pickleball.

PICKLEBALL IS THE FASTEST GROWING SPORT IN AMERICA - AGAIN

Pickleball continues to grow at an insane pace.

In 2022, 36 million Americans reported playing pickleball, making it the third most popular sport/activity behind only running and biking.

Surprisingly, the largest cohort of Pickleball players is the 18-34 year old bracket.

And it’s just getting started!

DUDE PERFECT INVESTING IN PICKLEBALL

Dude Perfect, the guys (dudes) best known for their trick shot youtube videos, invested in the Frisco Clean Clause, one of the 24 franchises in Major League Pickleball. The investment valued the team at $5 million.

They join other notable investors in MLP franchises such as Mark Cuban, Lebron James, and Patrick Mahomes.

Can’t wait to see some Pickleball x Frisbee trick shot videos. Actually…that sounds kind of lame.
